Christmas in July

Anyone else have an oversized box of archival products taking up prime real estate in their kitchen? No, just me? Right, then!

It was Christmas in July at my house when the first half of my Gaylord Archival order arrived this weekend. Within its vast cardboard depths were:

  • Burly Boxes and buffered tissue paper for my grandmother’s family quilt collection (check out the full post here)
  • General purpose archival boxes for my ever-increasing collection of family documents (like my great-grandparents’ love letters that I’m reading and cataloging. Current letter count: 753.)
  • The Absorene Paper and Book Cleaner, a handy little tool I intend to use on a fantastic political poster that was discovered in my parents’ barn during a recent renovation,

My sincere thanks to the FedEx driver for hauling it (and the second shipment to follow) in this heat. It may not have arrived in sparkly paper and ribbons, but it was a treat to unwrap. I can’t wait to put it all to good use!
